Websites for independent barbecue restaurants

Give new customers one place to get the right answer.

We build and maintain simple restaurant websites with the current menu, hours, phone number, directions and story. You run the restaurant. Send routine changes by email, and we keep the site current.

No website software to learn. You review everything before it goes live.

The restaurant’s information

One dependable customer link

Managed for the owner

Respect what already works

Your regulars know the drill. New customers may not.

You may have built a successful restaurant without a website. This is not about changing how you run it.

It is about making the basics easier for a first-time customer, traveler, new resident or person planning a group meal to find. Keep using Facebook and Google. Just do not make a Facebook post the only place customers can find the answer: Page posts are not shown to every follower, and some customers do not use Facebook. The website gives them—and everyone else—one restaurant-controlled destination.

Five useful answers

The information customers are actually looking for.

01

What do you serve?

A readable menu that works on a phone without requiring Facebook or a PDF download.

02

When are you open?

Current regular hours, holiday notices and limited operating days in one obvious place.

03

Where are you?

The correct address, useful directions and one-tap mapping for customers making the drive.

04

How do I reach you?

A working phone number plus the ordering, catering and social links you already use.

05

Why should I visit?

The restaurant’s story, specialties and practical details that help a new customer decide.

Managed for you

The website does not become another job.

You will not have to learn a page builder, remember another password, install updates or call technical support. Changed your hours? Updated a price? Closed for a holiday? Send the change by email.

The standard service includes up to four routine update requests per year. Corrections to our work and owner-posted temporary announcements never count against that allowance.

Need to post a closure, sellout or special?

Open the Update Center page we give you at launch, enter your approved email and click the private link we send. Choose the situation, set when the notice should disappear and publish it. We email a confirmation, and the notice removes itself when it expires.

A deliberately easy process

See it first. Decide afterward.

  1. 01

    Start with a conversation

Tell us which restaurant you operate. We review what is already available and determine whether the service is a good fit.

  2. 02

    Complete one guided intake

Share the current menu, hours, contact details, photographs and links. No website knowledge is required.

  3. 03

    Review one private draft

Confirm what is correct and request changes in plain language. Nothing is presented as the restaurant’s official website without approval.

  4. 04

Pay only if you want to launch

After final approval, choose annual or monthly payment through Stripe. The website is published only after payment is confirmed.

Simple by design

Everything the basic restaurant website needs.

Straightforward pilot pricing

One website service. No hidden agency menu.

This pilot price is available while we establish the service with an initial group of independent restaurants. Choose the payment schedule that fits the business; both paths include the same website and service.

Ask about my restaurant

No charge to ask or complete the initial review process. Payment is collected after you approve the website and decide to publish it. Annual and monthly are payment choices for the same service—not different quality levels. The monthly choice has a 12-month initial commitment.

Why Destination BBQ

Built by people who understand old-school barbecue restaurants.

Destination BBQ has documented South Carolina barbecue restaurants, menus, traditions and operating details since 2012. We understand limited operating days, buffets, plate service, sellouts, whole-hog traditions, advance ordering, catering and rural directions.

Purchasing a website does not buy editorial coverage, rankings, reviews or placement on Destination BBQ.

Start with a conversation

Let us see whether this service fits your restaurant.

Tell us enough to identify the restaurant and the best way to reach you. We will review what is already available and follow up personally. This is a request, not a purchase or commitment.

No technical preparation required. No website login. No payment to ask. Choose $595 for the first year or $59 monthly with a 12-month initial commitment only if you approve the site and choose to launch.

We will use this information only to respond to your request.

We already use Facebook and Google. Why would we need this?

Keep using both. Facebook does not show every Page post to every follower, and not every customer uses Facebook. The website gives Google, Facebook users and everyone else one dependable link where the restaurant’s own menu, hours, phone number and directions live.

Will I have to update the website myself?

No. There is no website software or technical account to manage. Send routine information changes by email and we make them for you. For a temporary notice—such as a closure, sellout or special—open your restaurant’s Update Center and request a private access link sent to your approved email address. There is no password or new account to create.

What happens when our hours or menu change?

The standard service includes up to four routine managed update requests each year. A routine request might change hours, several menu items or prices, a link, or one or two photographs. You can post and remove temporary announcements yourself whenever needed; those do not count against the four managed requests. Larger menu replacements and new functionality are quoted before work begins.

Do we need online ordering?

No. The essential website is an information site. If you already use an ordering, reservation or delivery service, the website can link customers to it without replacing it.

What if we do not have professional photos or written copy?

That is normal. We begin with the information and usable photographs you already have, prepare the initial site and let you correct or improve it. A strong photo-light design is better than forcing weak photography to carry the page.

Who controls the domain and restaurant information?

Your restaurant gets its own web address. We manage the technical details while the service is active. If the service ends and the account is paid, the domain can be transferred to the restaurant or another provider. Your supplied menu, photographs and restaurant information remain yours.

What happens if we cancel?

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid service term, and the website remains available until then. The domain can be transferred on request. The reusable website framework and service software are not transferred.

Will the website put us first on Google?

No one can honestly guarantee that. The site gives customers and search services a fast, accurate, restaurant-controlled source for the essentials. It complements your Google Business Profile rather than replacing it.
